I'm sorry to bug you guys....seriously sorry. But...here goes...
    I have a Xbox v1.0 tsoped, which had a m8+ bios that was 256k...
Ok, so I downloaded the m8+ bios that was the 1024k/1mb and edited it with evtool...
In evtool I changed the color of my X and the Xbox letters, turned off animation/flubber, set my bios size to 1024k/1mb, and turned off the TM symbol.
Then I flashed the bios using evolutionx.

PS......I've always had an issue where my Xbox would error 7 after IGR/In game reset which some guys at coinops forum ( I have the highest regards for them. One member sent me here after he gave me advice) have tried to help me with this error.
Anyway it seemed to flash just fine and shut down afterward.
So I pushed the power button and no flubber, but I got my blue X and my blue Xbox logo and about 20 seconds or so it error 7'd me.

I have swapped IDE cabIe, tried every fast switch on switch off trick...... It won't boot from the dvd drive with any bootable disc.
So after the temper tantrum I threw, I thought about it......it didn't give me the flashing lights that comes from a bad flash.
So I ordered a USB adapter. Maybe it will boot from it. Anyway the Xbox is using a kingwin sata adapter and a 80 wire IDE cable to which I ordered a Sabrent Sata adapter (people seem to have better luck with these all over the web).
I have a Hitachi 2tb Non Green drive that spins at 7200rpms...any ideas?
Would the USB boot it faster?
Shouldn't it boot fine without the flubber?
I need to eliminate step by step by swapping out the hard drive with a IDE drive, then if that doesn't work swap out the dvd drive. I May get another ribbon cable (80 wire of course).
To break it down I wanted to fix my annoying error IGR/in game reset and I've tried everything, except for my Sabrent adapter. The Sabrent adapter hasn't came in yet to even know if it will boot past error 7.
Any ideas from your collective brains?

To all, thank you for reading this.

I don't have the answer to your question but I highly suggest you re arrange the words in your post. Its not sectioned out and is all crammed together which makes it difficult to read.

Either way I hope you are able to figure out whats wrong and welcome to the forum! :)

Try another HDD. I'm not sure but in your case it is either the adapters that don't respond fast enough or your Hitachi drive having a TOO slow response. Try any other SATA HDD and see if that cures your problem.

Check the CS/Master/Slave jumpers. If this is the easiest case, you can even try the SATA drives again.

As a rule of thumb, the Xbox needs to have the HDD jumpered on either CS (Cable Select) or Master. Anything else won't work, found this the hard way.
