1)wav playback quality is improved 2)noise in menu was reduced 3)some new OS functions available for developers (edos lib v2 support) 4)added hardware DMA transfer from sd to DAC 5)gg code automatically turn off in case if destination address outside of cart memory rage 6)TFC music player 7)GYM music player. Only for ntsc systems. Files bigger than 3 mbyte may not work properly 8)save preview (actual only for snapshot save files) 9)fixed saves problem in Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 video: http://youtu.be/EAbCWN455KM dev libs will updated bit later
Thanks, Krikzz. To me the noise reduction will be the most enjoyable feature if snapshot is available for saves, could it be implemented into roms?
A selection screen with small thumb images. Like a sonic image for sonic game instead of just text. really small picture like an icon maybe.
No, not you. It would be something like this: This is just an example. Those cover art for games are available at hyperspin database site. Emu-xtras. I believe this whole snapshot collection for the Sega Genesis is 20-30mb only.
It almost seems like cover art would have to be separate file with exact same name of ROM file. Maybe they could be embedded I don't know. The problem is, this would look cool, but with the low resolution of the Genesis would it really make it easier to use?
Yeah, that's my point it would be nice but I would like to know if this would be possible or would worth the effort. Thanks for clearing the language barrier situation here StoneAge, I can't always express myself very well. LOL
Maybe if he added Favorites feature like ED64 maybe it would be kind of cool there because you have far less games in the list. Would be kind of cool to do it like Netflix or MAME where you scroll through game cover art horizontally. Although there are other features I would like to see first.
I just thought about it because of the save preview feature. So, maybe if you go into the game and take a snapshot it could be displayed along with the rom name. It's not a big deal neither urgent or important, it's just cool and it came to my mind while reading all those new things.
i can display the picture from snapshot save only in full screen mode, and can't make screenshot from any game which is was not be saved via ingame menu. But anyway i don't like how firecore gopher menu looks, and i don't want to do something like that. I like when i can observe a lot of files on the screen instead of picture and few strings from file browser
Anyway, I installed this for the reduced menu noise, but I would love to see FM support at some time. It would finally let me play the original Japanese Phantasy Star I with proper sound. I also noticed the fact that my SAG cart number shows up on the About screen. That's pretty sweet, even if I am a fairly unimpressive #55.
Each deluxe edition we make we give a serial number. Its on the cart, case, and shows up on the about screen.
Does this also account for the Everdrive MD? Cause mines about screen is a generic screen, makes no mention of SAG.
No, some EverDrive-MD Deluxe had our logo, some did not, but none of them ever had Deluxe serial on the about screen. Only the Mega EverDrive does.
