I hope someone can help me out with my Phantasy Star Online problem for Dreamcast. I'm using version 2 of the game through BroadBand. What happens is that when ever I try to join a team or download a quest, I get disconnected. I have no idea why. Also 90% of the time if I go to a lobby which has other users there I'll get disconnected again :smt017 Now, this never used to happen. I can happily play on-line in my own game until another user joins or I try to select a job from the guild counter. Then I get the message "Server has disconnected you, Game Over. Press Start Botton" I know that my Dreamcast wroks through the BB because my wife surfs the net on the Dreamcast sometimes when I'm busy on the PC plus I use the Dreamkara System quite a bit recently. Also , PSO will connect but won't allow me to play with others. PLEASE HELP rayer: Yakumo
I hate to say this, but you're screwed (most likely). RU playing on official servers, or homebrew? I had the same issue for a LONG time (making my BB adaptor worthless and my phonebill very high). The only fix was a firmware upgrade on my ADSL modem. My carrier was Metallic at the time. There is one other thing though. RU sure you have the right TCP *AND* UDP ports open? Lobbies are TCP, but games use UDP traffic. There's info on this (somewhere) on SonicTeams site. My suggestion is to go to the PSO DC general Chat (official BBS, somewhere under www.sonicteam.com) and tell them your carrier, and your modem model number. There's a small chance someone had the same problem. EDIT: Here's one link. Another link is 404 -- I think that's the one w/ the port info. http://www.sega.co.jp/psolink/psobba.html Also looks like they closed the DC forums.
