This was freaking hilarious, and makes me think that I may have came really really close to being scammed on a laptop I sold last year. The buyer had zero feedback, and after the auction contacted me and said that he wanted to do it through an escrow service, or he couldn't buy it. Needless to say, I left negative feedback for his inability to complete the transaction (I'm sorry, but if you want to do something like that you ask the seller beforehand) and apparently my suspicion wasn't unfounded, as the seller apparently registered with eBay to bid on my item, and then never used the account again. It still sits in eBay limbo, with it's glaring -1 feedback.

I really hope he gets some reaction from the scam buyer. :smt040

I love how the dude went and changed the screensavers to say p-p-p-powerbook, the scammer would be wise to move.

A fucking internet classic -- much better than Mahir the Turk. Very, very good. I love it... especially the James Bond volunteer - my favorite part.

In there somewhere is where you can read how it all went down when the package was delivered.

Why not just post under your own account then? Yeah, I know some people apparently get logged out every now and then, but that gets old - check before you post or at least edit your post afterwards when you find out.

How am I supposed to edit the post (posted by Guest) after I figure out I'm actually not logged in?

I think the mods should really do the smart thing, and not allow guests to post -- no other board on the internet does. Just my 2 cents worth.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...removing guest posts would mean that some of us would refrain from posting.

Anonymity is good on sites like this if you want to enable the free flow of information.

Well, you can login again, right? And as much as I'd love to get rid of Guest posting, only assembler can do that and I respect his opinion on the matter.

I agree that guest posting should remain on, but i would like to urge people to look if they are signed in before making a post becaue all the "guest" postings are getting really annoying :Hangman:
