Can you tell us what games you worked on, or are you still bound by non disclousure agreements?

I have that one too, looked pretty complete.

Curious about how far Jet Set Radio Future and Gunvalkery progressed on Dreamcast too.

I've always been curious about that whole thing with Gunvalkery on the DC where you were able to use a Light gun and a regular controller in conjunction. It was the games big secret, and I don't think the info on how it was going to work ever surfaced.

As for the original topic question, theirs so many games that have had their protos leaked its almost unbelievable. I don't even want to try listing all the ones I know of (and in fact I won't, but know this: the older the system, in almost all cases, the more unreleased games have been leaked for it). Theirs a great deal of games i'd love to see get leaked, but it's all a waiting game (and sometimes a financial one) when it comes to this sort of thing.

If you'r looking to find out if specific titles have been leaked, anme them and I, or someone else on these boards, should be able to answer your question.

Hi everyone. I'm new here, but I was wondering if anybody can tell me if there are alternate versions of Half Life, Propeller Arena, etc? I have heard that there were later builds of Half Life, with better loading times - is this true? If so what are they called? (so I can look for them)

I have also heard that there is a better way to burn 'Half Life' that shortens load times - is this true also? and anybody have any advice on how to do it? Or how do you know if you have one of these 'better' copies?

Also I know that SEGA's "The Lost World" the arcade game was in development for the Dreamcast, does anybody know of any copies floating around? If not, is there at all anyway I can play this game?

    Thanks in advance :)

Only thing I can think of with loading times would be to pad the disc out, so data is pushed to the edge of the disc (Dc is CLV, I'm assuming).I've heard of this done on other DC games in the past I believe

Thanks, how do you 'push the data' to the edge of the disk? and how do I know if my copy has already been burned that way (I didnt make them....)

Also, is there any info about "The Lost World" for DC?

I heard the same about alternate copies of Half-Life floating arround. However, I spent a considerable ammount of time, energy, and bandwith downloading basicly every copy I came accross for months on end with no success. I decided back then that said copies did not exist, and anyone who thought/said otherwise was misinformed.

The closest thing you'l find to a copy of Half-Life for DC with better load times is, like the_steadster said, a padded copy. Its been years sense I last used the technique, and as such I can't remember how it's done unfortunatly.

To "pad" a game, let's say you have 700 meg of space to work with on a disc. You game only takes up 300 meg. To "pad" the file and decrease load times you would put a 350 meg dummy file at the begining of the data track. This pushes the game data to the outter edge of the disc where the disc spins faster. This is a double edged sword however, as the faster the disc spins, the less time the hardware has to do error correction. Scratches and smudges become a bigger issue when you pad the game.

    Thanks for your reply.

So how do I make a dummy file if you dont mind me asking?

I also posted some questions in the forums over at Dreamcast history, here:-
    http://www.dreamcasthistory.com/dreamcasting2/viewtopic.php?t=2014&sid=b09547b7987f00bbe40ce59d4690d6b6

and they seem to suggest that there are later revisions of both games - and they have images of different revision GDR's here:-
    http://www.dreamcasthistory.com/dchusa/dchusa_prototypesbetas.shtml

Also, are there any protos/betas etc for the Sega arcade game "The Lost World" which was also scheduled for release on the Dreamcast?
