    - Sega announced the Xbox racing game OutRun 2 will include bonus race courses from the classic Model 2 racing games Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race, OutRun 2 for Xbox is scheduled to release in October 2004:
Bonus Track 1 (Daytona USA 2) - Beginner Stage (Speedway Oval), Intermediate Stage (Fun Park), Expert Stage (City)
Bonus Track 2 (Scud Race) - Beginner Stage Day (Bayside), Beginner Stage Night (Airport), Intermediate Stage (Asian Culture), Expert Stage (European Culture)

Amazing news and it seals my decision to buy an Xbox.News courtesy of the magix Box.

    That's too bad

They are missing out on a lot of potential sales by releasing it on the Xbox in Japan :smt043

We'll thay say the xbox is the "racer" console, and since I have one I'm defenetly looking forward to this title.

  6. I've just needed to change my underwear. Hurrah.

God knows what the Xbox is gonna think when it actually plays an Xbox game, but it certainly loves XBMC and its nice new LCD screen....

They have said this wont happen.

  11. US release of Metal Slug 3, GunValkyrie, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Outrun 2 > an otherwise useless and gigantic console? Not yet, but if there are any more gems like this released, it might behoove me to look into getting one of the beasts.

    OMFG!!
Just yesterday I was talking with a friend about Scud Race and how its sucks that this game was never released on a home system.

    :prayer: Outrun2+Daytona2+ScudRace= Pure Bliss!! :smt082

Yea, there are all kinds of great racing games on the XBOX.

I am definently going to get this game when it comes out.

Now they need to make an Outrun compilation as well. :-D

Are they really not releasing it in Japan? Strange move by Sega... in theory. In actuality it's not though, although I can't imagine a localization of a racing game to be a chore.

maybe since the port was done outside Japan Sega can't see the point to localising for Japan given small use base in Japan

    I'm all for it myself...
can't wait to see it on my plasma tv! :p

    cheers

And deprive SEGA of their profits of the last Am2-branded home title?? :smt022

In any case with a burned copy you won't be able to go online, which will be half the fun!

(though if you would hook me up with the details on where i could get a modded xbox for under fifty quid, i'm all ears ^_^)

    chip it yourself

unlike 1st gen the latest one is solder free...
i still remember the nightmare I had to solder all 29 wires to mod chip and then to 29 spots on M/B... :(

    warranty? who cares...
my main xbox is cheap hybrid of several different components from various junk Xbox except 1.0 US M/Board and matching HDD.

    cheers

I've got a soldered chip -- piece of piss. You only have to solder like 10 points. It was my first solder job.

To go online though, you'll have to sort out a US Eeprom. Not sure if I'll go that far.

    mate
    you got easy

mine's Enigmah prototype with 29 wires monster :(
for XLIVE all you need is putting switch to turn off the mod chip when you go to XLIVE and the latest chips has the auto-detection that it won't let you go on XLIVE with it still on - or so I was told

    cheers
