First post on this forum - so "Hi" everyone.

i have been running my retro site for over a year now, so will post some blog items in this forum for your perusal.

Good article, from the pics on your site and on the marketplace.. the game looks realy similar to Outrun Arcade (loved that cabinet).. do you know how they compare?

 

I have this on PC, and I have played the 360 demo, I can say it is the same game just in 720p. Still a fun Sega game through and through. It is a shame they couldn't have brought the game out 5 years sooner on the Dreamcast, it would have been the best racing game for the system hands down.

Btw, great review, read the whole thing. Really makes you want to go out and get it.

 

I just downloaded this game today! I still need to give it a spin though. It looks great!

 

I thought I was looking at Outrun 2 for a second there. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't reuse some assets and the engine for it, the XBox version looked absolutely amazing particularly when compared to the arcade version.

The former was limited to 64mb of ram, the latter 512mb. Yet the XBox version is virtually identical. I'd be curious to compare all three to the XBLA version of Outrun here.
