We recently just purchased a Outrunners Twin cabinet from a seller on eBay, which was listed as fully working with slight cosmetic damage, to be honest its actually in pretty nice condition for being used a shopping center (apparently) but after turning it on after being dropped off but problems started Cry

Take a quick scroll through the little gallery I have made for this cabinet:

Since those photo's I have taken apart the game board and cleaned it up the best I can and made sure all chips are pushed down.

Basically the issues we are having are:

*Random freezing, can be within the first 10-60 seconds
*One side will just throw a wobbly and not show a picture properly like show in gallery link above
*Sometimes it will boot fine on both screen but then quickly freeze afterwards
*Sometimes it may not even boot it will freeze just after the network check (not often)
*Graphics errors, like some tile maps are messed up in the scenery and arrows at cross junctions

All we want to do is getting it running even if it still has a few graphic errors and with only one side force feedback working.

I have had some advice to check the voltage on the PSU and it was at 5.75V, I dropped it down a bit to about 5.50V and it wouldn't boot at all so I put it back to 5.75V and it still didn't boot but after a reboot it came back on but with the same errors but on the other side and the left was fine but then froze, so after a reboot the errors went back to the left and right side was fine....WTF it's like a flaming whacka mole! I didn't want to increase the voltage any higher because I do not know what this cab needs voltage wise where as a standard jamma cab is happy with 5V.

I'm currently uploading some videos to YouTube to show it in action and I'll edit this post when they are up.

If anyone can help us I will be ever so grateful

I haven't seen an OutRunners in some time. I'm pretty sure it had a test mode, though. Have you been through the tests?

Yeap I have gone through the IC tests and RAM tests from the service menu and everything passed as GOOD.

I have posted on KLOV but they haven't been much help besides a member kindly telling me he had one ages ago and sold it and that's it lol
