That is one dedicated DC player. I've never been into racing games... and definitely not enough to want to overclock my console. I'd give you the gist of it, other than he wasn't pleased w/ Shutoku Battle's performance, but basically it's just details on how to overclock your DC.
I've been trying to find a seller with a Hitachi SH-4 SH7750R for some time with no luck - it has native 240mhz and then can be overclocked higher. Of course it would mean desoldering the DC's SH7750 and soldering the SH7750R however the coolness factor alone would make the job worth it. The problem with finding the chip is they are embedded therefore soldered directly to the motherboard - so they are only sold in thousands or millions to whoever has the cash :smt022 If I knew which devices had the R type variant 1 could probably be salvaged though :smt033
Legit, have you emailed hitachi asking if there are any products on sale with the chip embedded, it wouldn't hurt to ask the source? Rich
Re: Translation Yes, to both. The main problem he stated was "Koma-ochi" means "pieces falling out". I'd say it's the 2D equivalent to flicker. I've never played the game though, so can't comment.
Contact Renesas (or a reseller) and ask for samples. That works with many companies. Missing polygons. From what I remember of the game there's no framerate problems while driving, but the replays often stutter really badly.
... DC uses an SH-7091,not an 7750.I have not payed attention when i opened up my DC,but the SDK refers to it as such. We should have this article translated.
