oXbox 1.6 - screen flashes red on boot (console works fine)

Hey all! I've just installed a DuoX2 chip with M8plus16 bios in my original XBOX (ver. 1.6). It was softmodded before - I just installed the chip to bypass the annoying boot up sequence (flubber animation/sound etc). I also disabled DVD drive check.

Now, here's what I'm wondering:
- I'm seeing red flashes on my Philips LCD TV screen when the console boots when using component cables. Occasionally green.
- When I'm using RGB cables, there's no red flashes, only green. Once the boot sequence is over, and I'm in the dashboard (XBMC) it displays just fine.

I can't remember if the colors were there before I installed the chip. Maybe they were. I'm thinking the colors appear when the xbox is changing video modes or something.. What could these flashes be? Thanks

 

The LED ring can be customized to display different colors for different actions. Usually right in the dashboard settings.
