Pain in the ass driver problems

    Well shit, I go back to windows for 1 friggin' minute and it BSODs to hell, driver problems.

    WTF is wrong with windows update? it said everything is OK, then I go to the catalog and BOOM! like 5 different drivers were totally obsolete. Thanks for the heads up microsoft...

    Anyway, after downloading this bunch of .cab with .sys files inside and windows has no clue of what to do with them.

    I'm really really rusty from moving to Linux a billion years ago and the last time I had to install drivers in windows it was a pain but it had its own installation setup.

    How or what do I use to install these? device manager? how?

    You can extract the cab with winrar or 7zip. Then use device manager to update the drivers, point it towards your unpacked cab. Simples...

    Btw, just right click the device and update driver, choose to search in a specific location etc...
