    Hey guys,

    just a quick question

Would a PAL - M console work ok in the UK with a RGB lead. I would think so, I just need some one (smarter than me) to confirm :)

    Thanks a lot

  2. Yep. Any console from any region will run fine using a Scart cable. And using an RGB Scart is the best way to go, finest picture quality possible.

    Remind that RGB isn't SCART.
If the console doesn't output RGB (like N64, Famicon, GameCube) that SCART cable will only give you a B/W picture.

Be sure to check the manual of your TV. Maybe it supports PAL M - so missing RGB support will be no problem.

I'll be using RGB anyway. I hate composit.

Thanks for all the help, I'm off to make my purchase :)

RGB = RGB (color data is RGB)

    NTSC/PAL/SECAM = Y/C (S & composite)

PAL-M isn't PAL-I so you cannot see the colors in composite. Color can always be seen in RGB because it is not a color standard and the image is comprised only of color.

RGB can be synced in 50 or 60hz (vertical) but 50hz RGB is not PAL. PAL is 50/60hz PAL.

Highly recommended - Luiz is a top bloke, and almost everything is well below eBay rates.
