    Hi,

I picked up a MEGA CD at car boot the unit wouldn't power on. Apparently there is common problem with the fuse being broken so I fitted a fuse holder and tried several fuses glass 1.5amp, 2.0amp and 2.5amp fast blows, but every time the fuse blows when I try to turn it on with the mega drive.

Does any one know where I'm going wrong or where to look next?

Well If It doesn't work It will make a good paper weight :D

There's major shorting going on, buddy. Check the IC on the heatsink at the analog board. It's a high current type compatible with the good ol' 7805.

What kind of fuse should be used for a mega cd 1? What is the correct value? I have a broken unit here I'm going to try and fix.

    Thanks
