Hi all, I recently got a new TV and my ED64 menu doesn't like it at all (screen jumps around and goes from colour to black and white, if I load a PAL game it then works as normal). I am using the newest OS (v22). I knew that there used to be seperate PAL and NTSC OS files rather than combined, so out of curiosity I used the last available PAL one and the menu works fine. It seems like the newest OS is not using the PAL mode with my TV, is there any way I can 'force' it to use PAL or am I stuck using the old OS? Trying to play an NTSC-U or NTSC-J game has the same effect (jumpy screen), so I am guessing my new TV doesn't like NTSC over the scart or the composite connectors.
When trying to get technical support its always a good idea to actually post information about your EverDrive like PCB version, Firmware version, etc. If you have PCB v1.01 then you need to select which region you are using in the Options menu (Z button). v1.01 could not auto-detect region like v2.00 can.
FlashRAM and black/white? Hello, i just received an everdrive 64 firmware 1.00 and os22. For some reason when i run paper mario and start a save file, it leads to a black screen with bunch of weird writings. Also, when i play LoZ OoT or MM, it plays but in black and white. I dont know if its a flashram thing (pokemon works and dk64 and also banjo kazooie) or just bad roms. Any help i can get will be much appreciated. thanks
Hi Stoneagegamer, Thanks for the info, setting it in the options menu did the job I actually didn't know there was an options menu, hence couldn't tell you what version it was (arrived all neat already in the shell from Krikzz!) Cheers
