Ooooh, Tasty, Might have to get a 3rd gamecube in the form of this one. Could be a moderately decent collectors item

Sorry if this is a daft question, but what's the difference between this and this Final Fantasy Cube, other than the region, and box? Does the FF Cube have a special Jewel on the top or something? Got a pic? I take it the FF pack was super limited then? How much are they worth?

Theres a few differences, the pal version wont have a digital out socket like the jpn version.

Not sure if the pal version will be released with a gb player.

The final fantasy CC cubes are limited to 150 units & they were given out as prizes in the japanese games mag Dengeki.

If you want one your going to have to dig deep as they usually sell for £400+ they pop up from time to time on yahoo auctions.

The colour in that pic dosent really do it justice. Heres a couple of pics that sort of capture the pearlescent sheen it has.

    Ouch!!!

Doesn`t someone here have a FF version?...........is it used regularly and if so does the controller suffer with dirt & marks?

Otherwise it is a display/collectors version.......

Just seen the pics Importaku....is this yours?

Yeah that ones mine & its used all the time, Its pretty resistant to dirt. As long as you treat it respect the paint holds up very well.

However i use a wavebird for convienience so it keeps the joypad safe, someone else on here (sorry cant remember name) has a minty fully boxed one.

Yep, the Smash Football Bundle will be a DOL-101 model which means that they don't have the digital and they also got another mainboard structure/design (i.e. bios chip on bottom etc.)

and no, it won't be released with a gb player, which sucks, because i don't think that nintendo will release a pearl white gb player either, so we will have to stick to ugly color combinations...

I'm currently in talks with the seller (he's a bit of an arse) and so far we're looking at around 40'000 yen at the moment which isn't too bad. Of course I'll have to add a decent commission to that but still shouldn't be too bad for a 150 piece console.

I've also a Final Fantasy GameCube but it's sealed (and hell - i won't open it!).

Are you sure that this PAL GameCube really is a pearl white console ? I read something of pure white which is in fact not pearl white!

Why oh why didn't Sega do a Pearl DC to match the Pearl controller and Pearl VMU...

It would also make sense since Pearl Pink and Pearl Blue DCs, controllers and VMUs were produced.....

I'm sure it'll explained - written down in some notes of a marketing meeting somewhere in Sega Japan......

Wow, I'd spring for one of those in a heartbeat if it showed up on US shores. As it is, we only have the boring platinum, black and indigo models here. Nothing else. :(

I think I gonna buy some of these white Gamecubes and fit modchips in them. If somebody is interested in buying limited edition white multiregion Gamecube with modchip, drop me a PM message.

Yeah, umm why wouldnt i use it???

Hehe im not swinging it round my room im just putting games in it, i hardly think the thing is going to self destruct & all the paint fall off.

On a interesting note, the plastic under the paint is white as you can see it under the lid.
