Hi, when using the above combination, the menu of the ED64 is flickering which makes it very hard to select a game and is also very annoying. Is there any way to stop this, or does somebody know why this happens? When a game was started, everything works fine, so it is just in the menu.

Changing the settings from Auto to Pal or NTSC does not help.

Thanks for more informatios on this matter

You get a flickering image when using an RGB modded N64 while displaying a 640x480 resolution and your using a scaler. This will happen in games such as Space Invaders, it is not an ED64 specific problem.

All you can do to fix it is not use a scaler or to plug it in after selecting your game (very few games run at 640x480).

Hi and thanks for reply. I am not using a scaler and it happens only when I am in the menu. I know that games like Densha de Go have this issue, but I am not playing NTSC games on this console. Does the ED64 OS uses such a resolution of 640x480?

Or what could be the reason?

ok I understand. Is it possible to change the resolution by myself, like changing wallpaper or patching the OS64 file, or is this more complicated? I understand that there are probably just a few people that are using a Pal RGB, so that this is not a priority. Thanks anyway for your help :)

I purchased a used Nintendo64 I supposed PAL versión (model nº:NUS001 EUR) and bought the everdrive64 in an official provider. I have the same problem with flickering image in sd browser menu (very difficult reading something) and some games doens't work ok (most with HI-Res mode like World Drive Championship), so I suspect my N64 was mod (I'm not sure).

If could help someone, In my case the solution was changing TV mode to NTSC in the everdrive MENU - Options (if its selected PAL or AUTO the only way to fix the image was opening the OS64.v64 file in SD Browser and rebooting system). For games still having probles with HI-Res, all os them were solved using U roms instead the Pal (euro) ones.

Now my only problem is with nesemu (opens rom but in 2 or 3 seconds freezes, black screen and forces to turn off n64, but I'm still trying to prove another romset)

Sorry for my english (I'm from spain) and a lot of thanks to Krikzz for all this amazing stuff and work (I also have everdrive for megadrive and supernes and waiting to adquire a Turbografx console for buying the everdrive too ;)

It seems odd to me. why would ntsc or pal console affect this? 640x480 should be 640x480 anywhere, especially in rgb where color encoding doesn't usually matter.

I have tried my PAL rgb-modded n64 (french model IIRC) with 4 tv sets: 2 lcd and 2 crt... everything works great and the menu is showing up nicely...
