PAL Sonic Adventure Not Booting on Set 5.24 Dev Box?

    So you figured out the address to change in the flash? I don't know it by hearth, but I could find it if you really can't. (It's near the address where it's written dreamcast iirc.)

    I checked in the retail flashes where the dreamcast string was and worked out the region byte as being 0x0001A002. I found an instance of 'KATANA_FLASH' and went 0x00001A002 bytes from that, changed it to 30 and attempted to run the game. It didn't work though. Looking at the dev flash released online, it wouldn't work anyway as it is in a region of FF's, whereas the byte I came to was among lots of 00's. These KATANA_FLASH instances look like they contain only a smaller segment of the actual flash memory. If so then I have not come across the actual flash in codescape.

    Well, the Japanese version of Sonic Adventure works perfectly.

    How many pal versions have you tryed of sonic.

    The only one I have access to. It works perfect on my retail unit, just black screens on the dev kit.
