Alright so I have a PAL turbografx which runs at 50 hz

I replaced the 17.73448mhz crystal with a 21.47727mhz crystal and that made no difference

Here's a picture of it (I didn't do the crappy RGB mod, it came like that, for that matter, is the one suggested on page 3 a suitable replacement? it looks identical to the master system II rgb mod being the same chip and all, though perhaps I should stick some 220uf caps and 75ohm resistor in series rather than connecting directly to the tv from the chip? http://made-by-bacteria.com/images/PDF/tg2.pdf)

Here's a close up of the area with the two original crystals. The second crystal is 21.32825mhz, not sure what it does though

So does anybody have any suggestions for how to get this going at 60hz? I would very much appreciate it.
Oh yeah and don't suggest "get an american turbografx or pcengine" I want to use this one haha If it can't be done, it can't be done, such is life, I'll be sticking with this machine either way.

I thought the PAL TG16 basically was a modified US TG16 to output PAL video and run at the PAL framerate. Maybe by seeing a US TG16 you could figure out how to reverse it. Maybe someone else already has.

You won't get it to run at 60Hz. Put up with it, or sell it and get an NTSC model.

Any progress on this? Did you check pin 7 on the CXA1145. It sets the mode to either PAL or NTSC.
