Hey everyone, For Paperboy for the gameboy, is there a way to tell if a house is a subscriber or not without having to memorize the status of each house on the over world screen? I've been told on other ports you can use the color of the houses to figure this out, but naturally, this doesn't work on GB. Any suggestions?
All the houses with mailboxes are usually your subscribers. The "other" houses with weird doors aren't. It was a lot easier to tell on NES
"Usually" is the key word I think because at least on the gameboy version I noted that some subscribers had the funny houses with doors too. Maybe there isn't any easy way to tell on gameboy? On NES I think houses were just different colors, so it was easy to tell.
Even in gray scale you can tell what houses are subscribers and non-subscribers from the intro picture. However, there are like over 10 houses you need to remember which becomes hard (at least for me) to keep track of. If there was some simple way to tell in real-time if a house needs a paper or not, that would be very helpful indeed. On the NES, I'm told that all subscribers have the same roof/house colors or something uniform like that.
