As much as I miss the 90s at times I don't miss everyone flipping out over Mortal Kombat. Glad my parents had no problem with me playing that or even Duke3D when it came out.

Course they also had no problem when I'd spend days on end playing MYST when it came out. Just glad I had a 486 with a CD-ROM drive then.

 

Dunno what is the most epic : haircuts or the guy playing F-Zero that doesn't have the skill of a 9 or 10 year old to make that jump...

 

A 9 or 10-year-old could've figured out which way to go in F-Zero on the first try.
You know, I watched this thing twice and still don't get what the point they were trying to make was. That Nintendo was releasing a new console? That it cost too much? That they were manipulating children? That games have come a long way since Pac-Man?

 

Something that made me laugh was that SNES was still relatively knew then... but they show the ending of the flagship game. Suddenly, thousands of childrens hearts broken!

 

Kids probably didn't know that was the end battle and kids probably didn't watch the stupid news story.

 

I remember around this time reading a headline NINTENDO KILLED MY SON!!..the story was about a kid with photosensitive epilepsy played the snes had a seizure and died, I just remember thinking what dumbass parents he had.
