Free Play for family entertainment! I know I'm Scottish, but jeez, I'd really have to be Scrouge McDuck to want my kids to pay for this lot.... good idea though ;-)
Indeed, make the kids happy by giving them 10 pounds extra pocket money a week and allow them to play as long as they want. You'll probably even make some profit this way considering your kids might go out stealing when their wallets are empty. Just think about the possibilities...!!
"Well officer it all started when this guy called Ave had thi.... that's spelt A...V...E...., yeah anyways, Ave had this idea that I should let me kids go stealing to supplement their arcade usage. What arcades? Well, the ones in my lock-up? Well, I know about Free Play, but I was trying to make a profit. I mean it was either that or do a bit of pimpin' right? So which is best in the long run really, think about it?" Children's Panel review December 2009 ;-)
Really nice work. I would kill for Atomiswave anytime ;-). I did recently a little bit of building test of table top. More picture here
UJ, yeah, that's your Dolphin Blue! I had to run out and buy an Atomiswave motherboard and find a genuine AWSD cabinet to put it in (great excuse). Yes, I play it fairly frequently, it's actually a very good title. The YouTube video footage of the game is pretty poor and doesn't really do it much justice. Michael 99, I still have the Spawn Naomi cart I purchased from you (Iam certain it was you!) So, tell me, you are building an arcade table? The weird thing is that I would really love to build one as well, but it's a project that may be another restoration rather than creating something bespoke / unique. Are you building a MAME cabinet or did you want to go down the Jamma route?
Sure it's me. Did you already try the game? Yes, I'm building one for my friend and it'll be a mame cab. The thing with table top is that they are too way expensive even in shit condition. The plans are on the net and you "just" need to find anyone with CNC cutter if not you can buy a kit (in UK/USA) and put it together itself. Ohhh and I finally finish my Metal Slug collection. All full kit and serial match.
Can I live in your garage... Please? I really really want an Astro City from that dude on eBay. If he has one around Christmas time I might ask my Mum if I can put it in the garage.
:redface: Never knew but I can't say I feel guilty, you've done an amazing job on bringing everything back to life - not an ordinary habit of most collectors!! I m lucky I m not getting sued for incurring such cost and labour on you! Did you finally obtain any TriForce-related article for your collection?
Hmmm, you've given me an idea, might get my legal team rolling on that one lol :katamari: As for Tri-Force... Hmmm, I think it's the least useful motherboard on the planet unless you are prepared to pay silly amounts of money for F-Zero. The other titles either require specific additional control boards & I/O parts (and thus you can't transfer titles) or not worth worrying about. Bit of a shame really as the quality is good. Traded mine a while ago. Just found this again, which was the original image of one of my Naomi SD units when it arrived and before I started working on it.
Shouldn't be that hard to get one. They are pretty common. Thanks. Indeed I do have. Best shotter ever. One of my last thing to my arcade collection apart from Atomisware is Dead Connection.
Amazing collection, better than getting things consolized. Wish I had an atomiswave except their way to expensive!
