Ok firstly give a :prayer: to Bert who managed to get pictures of this thing and kinda prove it does exist. As some might remember it was a topic in the old forum but no one seemed to know much about anything about it... So thanks to Bert we have pictures. :smt023

Now for the second bit... maybe Bert or someone else would wanna explain....

On picture 3 the close up of the jewel you can see that yes it does look like the pictures we seen before. I think the main picture we had was the picture from the mag (Picture 4 on the site). What im confused about is i think we might of had picture 6 too but that says "T.YAMADA".

Why does it say "T.YAMADA" on that picture... Also we can clearly tell that the signature is different to the signature on picture 3 and also that the signature isnt that high quality...

Does anyone have a better quality scan of picture 4 (the mag picture) or picture 5 which is a advert i guess????

Hope i made sence all there! :smt043

    Paulo...I think(!) it's like this....

I believe the partner machines were made for each specific dreamcast customer - bespoke if you like. It's comparable to the recent release of 1000 Xbox's in Japan where M$ offered their white xbox with the name of the customer printed on it. I think Sega did the same with the Dreamcast, i.e. order one of these from us and we'll put your name on it and deliver it to you.

So what you are actually seeing with T. Yamada is an example name. In the UK they'd have used a name like John Smith - T Yamada is just a made up name for illustration purposes.

This then explains why the pics that are up on the site are for T. Motomiya - in this case there was a person called T. Motomiya who ordered a partner machine from Sega years ago and got his name on the console.

So what we all call the Yamada dreamcast is actually a partner dreamcast that just happens to have an example name on it....In the UK it's like saying the Smith Dreamcast!!!!...

LOL!!!!..........Look at picture 6...it's a detailed blow up of picture 4/5.....:)...the signatures on the T.Yamada and T Motomiya are identical. I am guessing it's the name of the Sega president....anyone verify this?
