I have several versions of that board, even an alpha version. Next time I dig it out I will scan it on the nice new scanner we have thanks for FireWSP
That would be fantastic! Any idea how difficult it would be to dig them out? Also, just curious to know if you have a digital multi-meter/capacitor meter and would possibly be able to measure any of the components on the RGB lines if they are not labelled? Thanks in advance :icon_bigg
@link83 I think he wanted to say that he sold all his Indy systems. But still has all his Ultra64 boards, just packed away ;-). @ASSEMbler Just correct me if i'm wrong
Ah I see, sorry - was alittle bit confused OH: Out of curiousity, where do you get Ultra 64 boards from? I have never seen any for sale anywhere, and I would love to get hold of one to study it (Although hopefully pictures/scans should be enough  )
I can tell that they are plain normal N64, except for : a) 16 MB of RAM (simple Ram, no RDRAM) on-board b) GIO interfaced (mapped on domain 1 0xb0000000, but i have to check this) c) NTSC output (from the docs its stated it could be modded to PAL / MPAL too, although i've never found the instructions yet) d) custom joyboard interface (indy's didnt had the space for common U64 controller plugs, so they had to make an interface board called "joyboard"). There you go
Thanks for your reply. Although im totally confused now! How many different development systems/consoles were there for the N64? All I am trying to find is what components were used on the RGB lines before they were removed. On one picture of an indy system it shows that RGB is still present:- As I can just make out the S-RGB chip that was used in the SNES (and early French N64's) near the AV multi-out socket. However, I could really do with a picture of the back of the board - as that is where the AV components are. I know that the Partner 64's doesnt have RGB connected, but I had thought that the Ultra 64 Development boards would still have RGB? What about the earliest Ultra 64 board versions like the 'Alpha' Assembler has? ....If not I guess only the Indy systems can help me? Thanks again.
Indy is a computer from SGI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SGI_Indy The Ultra board was something like a "daugtherboard" (or whatever it's called) that was installed in the indy.
Ah right! That makes alot of sense, thanks  So its this Ultra 64 daughterboard I need to find pictures/scans of. I found some more pictures of it here, installed in the Indy development system:- http://www.schrotthal.de/sgi/ultra64/ Unfortunately no pictures of the back :-(
Hope no-one minds if I bump this thread - as it has been over a month since my last post. If anyone has an Ultra 64 development boards and could take some pictures/scans of both sides of the board it would be very much appreciated  Alternatively, if anyone has one available for a cheap-ish price (doesnt matter if its faulty/untested) I would be interested in buying one to study (I noticed Assembler mentioned he may be selling an SGI Indy system in a recent thread) Thanks in advance :icon_bigg
