Passive 3D video generator????

Homebrew? It should be possible to hook a Master System 3D adapter to a Genny and make a game with it in mind. Might take a bit of coding kung fu to get the 3D adapter to work though. Hardware wise it should be able to work.

 

Maybe. the power base converter was basically just pass through right? and the necessary hardware is already built into the Genesis. I read of such a project somewhere maybe SMS Power that used the Gen 1 Genny's headphone port for the glasses. I dont think it went anywhere though, but that certainly would be the way I would go, after modding the Genny for regular Stereo of course.

I can only dream what the Saturn might have been like had it had a set of segascope glasses attached to the comm connector on the back. Nights or Panzer Dragoon in 3d would have been fantastic. Would've given Sega a definite edge. Maybe one day someone will attempt it, maybe one day I might try, if I ever get around to it. I doubt my level of skill in such things is adequate though. one can dream though.
