When Jeff Healy died last year of cancer, I was told by my neighbour, that Patrick Swayze had cancer too. And I first thought and said to my neighbour, that it was BS he just said. And then my neighbour said, google it up, and well he was actually right for a change, and I knew Swayze would probably die in the following years. So I half expected this to happen. R.I.P. Patrick Swayze http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwVy-5_Nnpg&feature=PlayList&p=C83F0D3EB337B465&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=4 (the song is from Roadhouse)
RIP Swayze, and Floyd. One a fine actor, the other a damned fine cook, but more importantly great entertainment as he did most of his shows with a glass of wine in hand, liberally topped up frequently!
Although I never really liked any of his films (Ghost remains one uniquely bad and kitchy example of a romance IMO), but I really respected his will to fight against this aggressive type of cancer and hoped he could do it, although the chances were all against him right from the start. RIP.
Outsiders.... that brings tears to my eyes. He, Emilio Estevez, and the other actors I can't remember their names were pretty good for a low budget movie. The book I read during middle-school. Never seen Red Dawn, but GHost, Dirty Dancing, and Road House.
The Outsiders is one that still remains to get the attention from me that it deserves. I loved the novel and I love 60's NYC "hell's kitchen atmosphere", so either way this movie will please me I guess.
