Hi, about a week ago I opened a new stealth account with PayPal and eBay, and waited 4 days before selling on eBay to be safe. New accounts normally have payment holds applied to them for sales on eBay, but I've recieved 5 payments so far with no such hold. Any ideas as to why it's not applying to me?
Hey your allowed upto something like 10 payments or when it hits certain amount of $$$ they then will place 21 day payment holds! hope this helps
Interesting. So how often/ at what amount should I withdraw cash to my bank account. I'm skeptical of your information now. I've never heard anyone report anything like this... the hold should be applied from the first sale; I've had fourteen now and still nothing. Seriously, does anybody have any idea why this hasn't applied to me? 36 sales/468 GBP now and there have been no holds applied.
How long have you been selling for. They are supposed to be applied to new sellers (under 90 days old or less than 100 feedback, whichever comes first), and both of those conditions apply to me but I'm free of it. If you use an old PayPal account with a new eBay ID, that would "unlock" the eBay account, but if you use an entirely new PayPal with that account then it should have the holds... which is why I'm confused.
Ah, much longer than that. When did they bring that in? as I had never heard of it and never had it happen to me
