I have got 2 x Nvidia Palet Geforce GTS 250 1gb fitted with artic cooling passive coolers. Owned them both for about a year, great cards currently have them in SLI they show up as 7.3 on Windows experience index in SLI and 6.9 with just 1. theses cards have never been overclocked only modification is the coolers, only reason for sale is going for 1 single card as I don't run dual screen any more

sorry only have the box for 1, will include the original cooler and 2x pci-e 6pin - molex converters

LOL. I didn't notice those until you pointed them out. I'm guessing he is married or they came with the place.

Question though, what temp are they idle and under load? Thermal paste used on them?

 

nope im not married bit young for that and no they didnt come with the place im currently living in the spare room while my room is being renovated and yeah my parents taste in decore is not great lol if it was up to me though i think all the rooms would just be white.

yeah the cards seeing as there passive they run quite warm.

card 1 idle is about 45-50'c under load 70-80'c
card 2 idle is about 40-45'c under load 60-70'c

the compound that's on them is some industrial stuff cant quite remember but it came in a big tube lol

They get hot while playing CoD 4? Honestly, a single GTX 260 will stomp that game at max settings, and still be at a reasonable temperature.

What did you do, modify the cooling on them to make them hotter? Trying to turn your PC into a portable heater? lol

 

Very good heat sinks. Had one on an ATi 3870 for years. Kept it idle at 35C and about 56C on full load. They work even better if you put a fan on them.

 

main reason i changed the coolers was because the stock fans sounded like a jumbo jet and i couldn't sleep with my pc on lol. well if i wanted some heaters id just get the 30 xenon xboxes out of stores
