I meant that if mine will run games at what is slightly over 1080p, then yours shouldn't have a problem running video at 1080p - sorry, didnt make that at all clear, reading it now..
Yeah, I know. I primarily want it for games. The video thing just seems like it would be a cool feature.
So, which do you guys think would be a better choice for a video card: a GeForce 7900GTO 512MB or a GeForce 7950GT 256MB? The 7950GT has HDCP, as well.
What resolution will you be running at - as I understand it, at high res its better to have clocked slightly slower (i.e. 7900gt) if you get more memory for storing bigger textures, and vice versa.
Dunno, probably around 1280x1024. My LCD's native resolution is 1440x900, so possibly that. I'm probably going to have only 1GB of memory, though, so shouldn't I have a faster video card? Or are you referring to GPU memory? In any case, what I really wanted to know was which video card had better performance by itself: the 7950GT with 256MB GDDR3 or the 7900GTO with 512MB GDDR3.
