Hey everyone, Does any PC Engine experts know how the game catalogue for the system is mostly skewed? I assume it's top heavy on shooters, action games, and to a smaller extend RPGs? The reason I ask was because I'm a gamer who migrated from the Sega Saturn, and I found that console to be top heavy with mostly 3D titles (generally unimpressive), RPGs, and a smaller handful of (I admit Impressive) 2D games. The way I figured it, the PC Engine was around when 3D wasn't mainstream so I'm in for a bountiful retro 2D feast! (^_^); Though, I've found that a lot of CD-ROM games are of the RPG sort which you can't play without knowing Japanese.
You have answered your own question as there are around about 110 shooters, 100 platformers games, 100 RPGs with the vague action catergory making most of the rest. This includes Hucard, CD-ROM2, Super CD-ROM2 and Arcade CD-ROM2.
