PC-Engine GT for sale

Unit is in a good condition, but the built-in speakers don't work and the headphone output is faint at best. Comes with Gradius (loose).



Please forgive my photo-taking skills. The screen of the unit just had a smudge when the pic was taken, and has no major scratches whatsoever.

Those with technical know-how could whip this into shape in no time, but I have 3 as it is.

If you are sure that the sound thing can be fixed (without Jedi trickery) I'll take it. I tried googly-moogly for some info but all I found was crappy cheat websites :-(

I can't say for sure as I'm no NEC engineer, but I don't see why it couldn't be fixed, or easily modded for a new audio output.

yes it only comes with one game.

the GT is not the greatest on baterry life, as anyone in the know can tell you, but it offers the most amazing display in a portable (up till the PSP I'd say...)

as for "new" games, I;m not sure that you fully understand what this system is. don't think you'll find any "new" games anytime soon.

Alright, well I'll look around for some more info and I'll get back to you in a few hours. I wouldn't want it to be some inner-IC failure like the CD-i battery, that would be almost impossible to remedy.

I like to fix stuff as well...would have been a perfect project.

the sound problem might be related to a capacitor like on game gear (same bug) but I can't be 100% sure unless I see the console, be sure to use tinny soldering iron if you want them to work again.

Yep, eBay is a pretty good source. in the UK pc.engine almost always has bucket loads of games each week, and while a decent enough seller, delivery times are poor (>1 week) as auctions end on sundays and she only posts saturdays.

 

no one has bought it yet, so its still up for grabs.
