Hey guys, back in August I bought a PC Engine GT on eBay. I bought it recapped, so my assumption was everything should work. It came with an AC adapter and obviously as the thing is a battery hog I used the AC adapter exclusively until a couple weeks ago when I tried batteries and got no power. Not even a flicker.

It's been months so I can't assume that it will be fixed or replaced, so anyone got any ideas as to what the most common faults would be.

My assumption is that a set of batteries must have exploded in it and one of the terminals is slightly dull colored compared to the others so I don't think that assumption is too off the money.

Is there a fuse that would likely get tripped if batteries exploded? Because like I mentioned it works on AC power just not on battery power.

EDIT: Figured it out myself. The plug that connects the battery compartment to the main board wasn't seated all the way, the actual plastic part of the socket was lifted about 4-5mm so when the plug was inserted it wasn't making very good contact. I seated it properly on the pins and I'm now getting battery power.
