I am searching for Magical Chase and SplatterHouse BRAND NEW/FACTORY SEALED on the PC Engine. If you know where I might source these either through a shop or contact, let me know.

Also I would be interested in these:

    - GunHed
    - Tatsujin
    - Gekisha Boy

    PM me with details.

    Thanks!

1: You would want to look in the For Sale forum
2: You would want to build your post count up (over 50) before making a post asking to buy/sell items to avoid getting flamed
3: Factory sealed pretty hard to come by these days. I had a factory sealed Magical Chase some years ago, but sold it.

Yeah I know these games are hard to find (don't assume that I don't know this already just because I have a post count of 1). And what exactly does 50 posts mean? You are automatically inaugrated into the trustworthyness hall of fame? Not trying to start an argument, just an observation.

Shame about your magical chase - that is just one hell of a hard game to find in factory sealed condition now. I think they did a print run of 10000 copies (not sure if that numner includes the FAN edition or not).

Why factory sealed? Just a collecting thing?

good question! A couple of years ago I used to have a rather large hucard collection - I eventually sold it off together with the different systems. I have come back to the PC Engine after a bit of a hiatus and wanted to see if it was still possible to make a similar collection of my favourite games from a few years ago but this time in brand new factory sealed condition. It's also partly an investmentthing but really it's more the fun and thrill of still being able to find a new sealed copy of a game that came out 15 or so years ago! :)

Fun stuff! I'm looking for Sega CD games ATM...

Side note, I didn't know the US Yahoo Auctions is dead now.

No, but you are congratulated (or at least not lambasted) for taking the time to read and follow the rules.

I will look next time I'm in Akihabara. The one I bought there was 13,000 yen... that was a long time ago. I don't make there too often though.

Well, right now Earthworm Jim and Lunar. I loved the PS Lunar and never got to play the original, and the EWJ on SCD had a lot added, which was a favorite game of mine when I was a kid. I've had a JVC Xeye for awhile, and since my 360 died I've been playing a lot of SNES and stuff, I'm just going system to system getting ahold of the games I missed out on or used to have. Lunar shouldn't be too hard to find, just pricey, but so far I can't find EWJ ANYWHERE.

They can be found without too much effort I think, there's quite a market for sealed pce collectors out there. It depends how good a sealed copy you want. Flawless can take a long time for many games. Renny Blaster and DNM are beasts to find in flawless nick. Actually so is splatterhouse, there's always a bit of pull strip pain at the end.

I suppose for MC it also depends which version you want. 1st version (the one I think Adol saw) seems to appear sealed more often than the pce fan version. And of course with the fan version you'd want the sheet/letter that came with it too....

lol you make it sound like a new copy of MC is as common as Fire Pro Wrestling 3 or Power League 4[IMG] ;) I guess these come up on YA Japan as I've never seen one on ebay EVER. I will keep any eye out for those. I am not out for a super-flawless copy; just one that is clean, no tears, no cracks and obviously genuine (not a re-seal).

I used to deal with a contact in Germany and he claimed the FAN version (NEW) was 100 euro more. Maybe there was less pressed?

There was a FAN version on eBay last year, I know this for sure because I could have bought it before it was listed as the seller was a friend. I had to pass though because I bought other games instead.:crying:

Ah sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like it was that easy, but there are much harder games to find new. Some of the late cd releases are a mare.

Don't know about the fan version print run or price now. I got lucky about 18 months ago and got it flawless with letter for about 24,000 yen. I didn't see the ebay one but the only other new fan version I saw was a year ago and it topped 40,000yen, no letter.

wowsers - there can't be too many left! I would take either and even without letter. Sounds like the price is going up with every sale - although I do think the PCE market is quite flat (overall) compared to say about 4 years ago. I think the release of the Sony PSP and possibly the new wave of consoles (Wii etc) has had an impact.

Sure (any new gen does I believe) especially with the retro vibe on all three. Plus people have finished their pce collections too, or just moving onto the gen afters so as to keep the same gen gap overall. Lots of things.

That said a sealed Splatterhouse sold for 30,000 yen today, crazy price lol. Same seller had a sealed Maerchen Maze too for a cool 25,000 yen (I guess he hasn't seen the 4,000 yen tag they are usually listed and don't sell for).

I don't recall which version, but MC sealed has shown up in Akihabara many times over the years, as has Sapphire. Something like Dracula X sealed is far less common (and demands way more money).
