PC-Engine: Puzzle Boy - Game modes?

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone played Puzzle Boy for the PC-Engine before? I was giving it a spin over the weekend, and I noted that for two players there is a time-limit instead of a puzzle limit. Anyone know if this can be changed/modified? For that matter, does anyone know what all the different modes and menu options really mean? I didn't notice too much of a difference between them, but then again, It might be something to do with the kinds of puzzles you solve? <Beats me!>

have you tried checking out this translation to see if there's options for it? seems its pretty cut and dry on the options.
