I am interested in trying this as I have had problems with the IC based method, but does anyone know of a good source for an 8PDT switch? Maybe also a little info on installing it too. I know that pins 15-23 (apart from 18) are reversed on PCE and TG. So does the switch transfer between half and half (first 4 poles, double row and then other 4 poles)? Something like this 15-23 16-22 17-21 19-20 20-19 21-17 22-16 23-15 Is this anything like it should be or am I completely off the mark?
I'd forget about that method honestly, your best bet is the Obey chip which is by far the best IC-based method. I've installed plenty of them before and never had an issue.
I don't want to forget about it, I want to do it. I wouldn't have asked otherwise. I want a purely mechanical solution without drawing any excess power from the console.
I now have an 8PDT slide switch (2 rows of 12 pins). Can anyone help me with which pins on the switch go to which pins on the card slot. I can't work it out myself because i am stupid.
