That is a Sharp X1 Twin, which is basically a Sharp X1 computer with a built in PC Engine. It's like the Amstrad Mega PC, the console shares the PC and outputs video on the same output but that's about it... the X1 / PC Engine part don't share any other hardware so you can't use it as a developement computer... "I really don know much about this system, can;t even find any information on net" - Translation, I can't use google and my keyboard doesn't have a working X key... "I bought this system over 3,000,000 Yen in japan = 1450GBP" = Translation, they saw me coming or it was 30,000 but 3,000,000 sounds better...
That is not mega-rare. I would say the PC-KD863G Monitor with built in PC Engine is much much rarer. I would even go so far to say the battery pack for the PC Engine GT is rarer. An obviously the Hibino.
I have a X1 Twin system that i'd gladly sell for 200UKP! This one is 850UKP,+ 850UKP shipping? lol...it doesn't even have the keyboard, so it's pretty useless unless you want to play hucards.. I'd sell my PC-KD863G Monitor for 300-400UKP though
Actually I think his postage cost is £150 (see auction notes). He made a mistake when listing. Still WAY WAY overpriced!! You monitor sounds tempting
I agree, I mailed the guy advising him what the item is, we'll see what happens. I should've looked the item up i guess before posting on here.. I saw the description and thought it might be of interest to someone. Least i've learnt something to today. :katamari:
Funny thing is, up until about 3 years ago, the seller on eBay known as "ling jr" used to have lots of these up for sale. Shipping on these is a killer though.
I was thinking it was based on the X68000, it looks a lot like the tower systems. The keyboard even looks familiar. Maybe this was the inspiration for the X68000.
