A lot of PC games were ported to the arcade, many of them were made by Global VR but there are others too, I was thinking someone should start compiling a full list. Here are the ones I've found so far: Air Strike (based on Air Strike 3D: Operation WAT) Air Raid (based on Air Raid: This Is Not A Drill) Beach Head 2000 Beach Head 2002 Beach Head Desert War Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII Crimson Skies (2000 PC game) EA Sports NASCAR Racing (based on NASCAR 2005: Chase For The Cup?) ExZeus (Japanese shareware title, impossible to find a download now, was released on PS2 as ExZeus and on Wii as Counter Force) Grid (based on Race Driver: Grid) Ford Racing: Full Blown (based on Ford Racing 3) Half-Life 2: Survivor (Japan only) Incoming (1998 game) Madden NFL Football (based on Madden NFL 2004) Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance Need For Speed GT (based on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2) Need For Speed Underground Need For Speed Carbon Operation Blockade PGA Tour Golf Championship Edition (based on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002) PGA Tour Golf Championship Edition II (based on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003) PGA Tour Golf Championship Edition III (based on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004) PGA Tour Golf Challenge Edition (based on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005) Redline Rampage (based on Gas Guzzlers) Re-Volt Sega Rally 3 (based on Sega Rally Revo) The Swarm (based on 2008 Russian PC game "The Swarm", released on Xbox 360 as MorphX) Star Wars: Starfighter Trouble Witches AC (Japan only, based on Trouble Witches) Twisted (based on Nitro Stunt Racing) Location test only? (found these going through old magazines) --- Heavy Gear 2 Plane Crazy Prime Target (Macintosh shooter)
I've seen some of those on some arcades around here. In my opinion, most were really pointless, since they arrived way after the PC / Console versions. Still, it's better than seeing mobile games on arcades.
Sega Rally 3 (based on Sega Rally Revo) This one is actually the other way around, first the Arcade version got released (which is actually a PC build on it's own) and later Revo came along for PC and consoles.
Found another Global VR arcade game, Desert Gunner (playable on Steam) which is a successor to Beach Head series and another prototype based on the game SiN.
From what I've just learned about this game, the arcade executable is literally just a custom config menu which is used to boot into the retail PC version of Hot Pursuit 2 (complete with keyboard support) For some reason I find that hilarious, arcades have really fallen from grace in america
