Does anyone have a setup with a PC in one room and a television + bluetooth controller in another? I was thinking of running some HDMI cable to my bedroom for some PC gaming but I don't know how feasible this would be. Here are my questions:

    1. Would running HDMI cable a length of, say, 20-25 feet be a problem as far as signal quality goes?
    2. Is there an iPhone app that would let me turn on the PC and boot put it into Steam Big Picture Mode automatically? (My motherboard has WakeOnLan)
    3. Is Bluetooth viable at a range of 20-25 feet?

If anyone has a similar setup, I'd appreciate your input as to how you went about it. Thanks!

HDMI of that length is iffy I think. Bluetooth at that range is not happening. You would probably have too much latency in the control reaction time even if it did work.

maybe some kind of wireless sender for the video? although again there may be lag or poor quality, BT is pushing it at that distance, may be better just moving your pc or getting a dedicated one for the screen and controller in that room

For the HDMI you can try something like this for wireless and this one for a cheaper wired solution.

For a keyboard and mouse something like this may work. Can't confirm if these will work or not. Might can then put a bluetooth keyboard and mouse on the hub end of the wireless USB setup for no wires going to the keyboard and mouse.

As for the booting of Stream in big picture mode, you can boot your PC with iphone since it has WakeOnLan. Just search itunes store for "wifi booter for iphone". That will enable the phone to start the PC over your home network. Starting Steam is a simple matter of creating a shortcut to the Steam app and putting it into the start folder. This is assuming you run Windows 7 for your OS. Not sure for MAC or Linux but should be possible with different method. Not sure on how to enable big picture mode by default since I don't use steam. Maybe someone else can help there.

Thanks! I've successfully booted into Big Picture Mode using a Wake On Lan app and I've gotten a reliable input from my DualShock just by moving my desk about a foot. Now I just need to handle the HDMI side of things.
