    Hi,

I have recently built a new PC. I chose the Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H motherboard as it was reasonably cheap, and a Pentium G3258, which is the unlocked anniversary edition CPU. I bought this due to its low price, and decent overclocking potential.

However, I've been having a bit of trouble getting it to overclock. Even raising the voltage up to 1.35v (from 1.1v), it locks up in the BIOS whenever I go above 3.8GHz. At the minute, I have it running at 3.6GHz (up from 3.2) at just 0.95v. This is achieved by changing the CPU clock only.

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with overclocking, and could suggest which options to try changing to get a larger OC. There are a lot of options that tbh, I don't want to start messing with without knowing what I'm doing.
