I've had a question about an item I am selling, hoping someone out there can help me out! Would an Arcade card pro work in a duo or super cd-rom, as well as the briefcase setup? Those who respond with the correct answer win my eternal gratitude :icon_bigg
I cannot say with a certainty, but the Arcade Card had a DUO and PRO version. PRO cost more as it included a certain amount of RAM that the DUO (and possible Super CDROM2) systems already contained but original CDROM systems did not. So I believe the Arcade Card Pro will work fine in a DUO, and definitely should work on a CDROM system like the breifcase setup. I'm not 100% certain as I haven't tried it on my DUO as I have a Arcade Card DUO and not PRO.
Thats my reasoning, I'm just hoping someone here can confirm it. all that could be different is that it boots the bios from the arcade card rather than internally, but that shouldn't be a problem. I really Just want to check theres nothing I'm missing
If anyone needs to know why it works (so there's no more verifications heh) inserting most hucard's disables the system card ROM and RAM. Arcade Card PRO does this to prevent conflicts between it's internal ROM and RAM and the system's; AC DUO does not because it doesn't contain the ROM or 3.0 card RAM, it only decodes the extra RAM because that's all it has AFAIK.
