I don't see why it wouldn't. It should work with the Supergrafx, assuming that A) You're not using the USB version of the TurboED, B) You're not using SFX ROMs, and C)You turn on the compatibility mode switch to PC Engine on the console. I may go out on a limb here and say that standard HuCard games work in the console, the TurboED should work.
TurboED likely still draws more power than real HuCards. So that's what people are worried about, but soon I'm sure someone with a region modded DUO will tell us if it works or not. I would imagine it will work but you never know.
I'll report back when I get mine. I just cleaned up my A/V mod and added S-Video to my TG-16, so I'm all ready to go.
I have CoreGraph II with Tennokoe unit modded for RGB. I hope this will be ok for Everdrive. It was for Tototek card.
@Haynor: Can I ask where you got your Tennoke unit modified from? I'd be interested in something similar.
I have a question, sorry if it has been asked. I await my TurboEverdrive and I have the MicroSD waiting to go. I have 3 folders set up on the root of the card. 1. TG16 2. PCE 3.Translated The Translated folder are for roms that have been translated to English. My question is this. Is there a file limit per folder? Will the TurboEverdrive diplay the names ofr all the files in each folder regardless of how many?
Jesus, can't you just wait until this get released first? :dejection: This isn't even finished yet and you ask how to setup your SD card!
Actually, cart already finished and released, few weeks ago 223 file per folder is a limit for turbo-ed
Well seeing as your a new member I will excuse you and simply inform you that a large part of this site is about sharing information. Considering the actual developer is on the site there is no better place to ask, why wait when I can be prepared and ready and enjoy it the moment it arrives? as you can see from the response from Krikzz himself (thank you Krikzz) the cart is released. Stick around "rocco" you might learn something around here.
I don't see how people can stand dumping hundreds/thousands of files in a single directory anyway. I always break it into subdirectories - 0_A, B, C, ..., X_Z. Makes it much easier to find a title. On platforms with large numbers of file with a certain starting letter (like S), I'll break it into separate subdirs to keep the size down (like S_SH, SI_S or similar). The only case where thousands of files in a dir are acceptable is if you're working on video by the frame, so you might have something like 000001.jpg to 003178.jpg all in the same dir.
I agree, scrolling through rom filenames to find a game I want is daunting enough without them being sorted at least alphabetically. Crap, I still need to go through the SD Card with my Genesis, SNES and Master System ROMs and clear out the ones that didn't work or I didn't like. Now that's a task I don't look forward to.
I have mine sorted by genre in all of my flash carts (Everdrive MD, Super ED, Master ED, ED64, & PowerPak). That way, when I want to play a particular style of game, I know exactly where to go. I plan on doing the same thing with my Turbo ED once it gets here.
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know the site where I can track shipments from Retrogate? I've tried the Royal Mail site but they don't support non "GB" tracking codes.
I use THIS SITE to track international shipments. And I just got my notice that my TurboED is being shipped! Prepping my MicroSD for some TG goodness! Thanks KRIKzz!
I'm pretty new to turbografx/pc-engine, what type of console should I be shooting for in terms of price & function, just a regular turbografx? coregrafx? pcengine? turboduo? advice appreciated, looking for most bang for my buck
Quick update: It works fine on an unmodified Duo-R. Not sure if there was any doubt about this, but I thought I'd let you know.
