    no

PC-98 series is unlike others before it based on 16bit CPU and pushed as business machine at that time while PC-88 series was mainly aimed at home... PC-98 evolved though later with WIN compatibility and from what I recall later PC-98 series is quite different beast from early PC-98 series...

PC-98 series was massively popular in Japan in 90s...
there were so many games I wanted on PC-98 but I could only dream about since I was paying off for my PC-88SRMkII at that time...

From what I have read pc-98 is similar to a very old IBM. I appreciate the info. That answers my question for pc-fx. The reason I asked is I have the dev card and devdisk coming in and wasn't sure if it would be more of a table top discusion item or be of use.

"Dev card" meaning FX-GA which isn't a dev card?

You are right technically it is called "game accelarator board" turns your pc-98 into a fx system if I read assembler right. I called it a dev board since it would seem to be the same as a emulator board since i could could build and run off the same system.

OK, the actual development hardware is also PC98 based (of course) so I thought I'd ask.
