    SCPH-10190
    DTL-H10010

Are both the same thing software wise ?

I acquired a pair of DTL-H20400 drives with their respective power supplies.

While I'm aware the drives will work on my PCMCIA PS2
systems, I'd like to know if I can use the DTL-H10010 PCMCIA card on a retail console the same way I would use the SCPH-10190 card.

With this information in hand I'll then procure two units of either, depending on compatibility.

Anyone have information to share regarding this ?

These are pretty much the same parts and you can interchange them. I've used the DTL on a retail PS2 and it worked fine. The only real hardware difference is that DTL card has a built in Ethernet extension on it that makes it easier to plug in the cable if you had a PS2 Tool.

the extension can actually be removed if you unscrew the bottom plate on the card... let me know if you find a source of spare cards I need some for my tests as i don't want to keep swapping my tool's
