I've heard a lot about old EGM magazines having ad's for obscure consoles, vaporware, imports, backup devices, etc...

would anyone be able to deliver some scans of said advertisments?

Yesss, I have quite many. EGM got me into obscure gaming in my childhood. I remember seeing an archive website somewhere, it had dozens of scanned issues.

I'm trying to find it, no results so far, it has been more than 2 years since I last saw it. I downloaded some issues back then.
I'll scan some of my own soon anyway.

I remember seeing old Gamate ads in EGM back in the day, however you're more likely to get pics of unreleased stuff in the Quartermain section (or whatever it's called now, Q-Man? Something like that.)

At one time I had every single issue of EGM, all of them, up to like 102....

IMO Next Generation mag is even better. They had excellent interviews with every company trying to push a console on us.

I remember my old EGMs, gamepros etc had ads for things like the doctor64 and stuff. Also, there were some ads for Thrill Kill I've been meaning to dig up. I needed an excuse to, so if I see anything cool, I'll try and get the scanner working.

One EGM has an Ad for a PS1 controller that looks alot like the PS3 prototype.

Gamefan had alot of awesome import shit but the 1 issue I had was hacked up and thrown out.

Any ads wanted for any cheat devices? sharkport, dexdrive, gameshark? tons of ads for those here, for N64/PS

Also, found my old EGMs, five of them from 1998. Got some weird import stuff in the back, and have Thrill Kill ads, which makes me happy. Expertgamer may have some cool stuff as well.
So, in the field of EGM, I have
    May 1998
    June 1998
    October 1998
    November 1998
    December 1998

Also, I find some of the stuff in there coincides with Tips n' Tricks "Cool Zone" section

Unfortunately my EGM's are a province away, but I remember tons of them. Actually, it was in the back of EGM/GamePlayers that I found out about the wonderful world of import gaming. It was a strange and exotic place. :)

I bought EGM religiously in the early '90s, when they were talking about the brand-new Super Famicom. I have 'em all in a box, easily accessible. Maybe when I have some time I can flip thru and find some interesting ads/screenshots/news and throw up some scans....it's that darn "when I have some time" thing that's difficult. :p

I have most of them laying around in the attic of my parents place and a few here, but my scanner is broken so I'll have to scan them when I replace the scanner one day :/

There was just a lot of talk about like, game copiers and game enhancers and imports and HK Oriignals in the back of old EGM's.
