I'm w/ Yakumo. Saw it -- not my bag.
Coke has one out, but it looks like Coke (the drink, not the stuff you give hookers to get blowjobs).

Do they still sell the other "Summer" flavors? Pepsi Ice Cucumber and/or Pepsi Blue Hawaii?

They introduced Matsuya Cider - Ume before I left Japan and was surprised that 7-11 here do stock it (although only for a limited time...)

Shiso is nice when wrapped around sushi but I am not sure how it would taste like in a fizzy drink.

One thing I like about Japanese fizzy drinks is that most of the Japanese companies ones normally are less sweet then the Amerikan ones. I loved Matsuya Cider Zero just before I left Japan, although genmaicha was still my favourite.

While we're on the topic of drinks: There is no CC Lemon Zero which is a really fucking good 0 calorie version of CC Lemon. And for some weird reason I accidentally got a Kirin Lemon the other day thinking it was water w/ a splash of lemon juice. It's more like Sprite but with a REALLY lemony taste. Very good.

Oh yes, Kirin Lemon is a very nice drink however I always still feel thirsty after drinking it so a bottle of Kirin afternoon tea (none sugar) always follows. I love lemon and the more sour the better. Have you tried that small can drink with a 50's American comic book design on it? That stuff it really sour but you can also taste the sugar which is a bit of a let down.

I had it and was surprised I liked it OK.

I love the 0 calorie sodas in Japan, most are actually quite good compared to the shit in the States. There's this kind of healthy, 0 cal, lemon mineral carbo water that I get that really is good, and for some odd reason relieves headaches (could be just me though) but that's one thing I'll miss in Japan after I go is the sodas. Melon Soda = Great

Those are good, but generally when I drink a CC Lemon, I'm after the carbonation + sugar + lemon + quantity. One of the best feelings in the world is waking up at like 5AM w/ a hangover and cotton mouth, and carrying out half a bottle (1.5 liter) of CC Lemon. It ranks up there w/ getting rid of one of those shits you brew up for 3 days.

I'm generally a once a day guy -- I have some pretty mean metabolism, but I'm like a clock. Every now and again though, something goes awry.
