That's too bad; but I guess we can't be surprised, as Rare seems to keep pretty tight locks on their development.
Twycross is surrounded with enough cameras and cutwire fencing to make even the most paranoid prison warden happy. Other changes during development included different multiplayer stages (including some back rooms in the Area 51 solo stage), different texturing (the ice theme for Grid), an additional multiplayer mode (touch that box), proper registration of the GE weapons for multiplayer, some minor weapon and character model changes, and some different kinds of objectives for stages. Some of the unused areas became used, and a few things like the strip club sign were changed to be a little less obvious. Like good old Rare they didn't delete a fair amount of beta content, so older version text files for captions and displayed messages are still in the ROM. From that we know you were supposed to use a camspy in the first stage to record a conversation. Apparently the focus shifted from a stealth-oriented game to more of a guns-a-blazing sort of thing.
