Dude, where have you been? Not to be rude but this is old news, and is on most of the major gaming networks, already. BTW, I like how Doom: the Movie Demons actually look like the ones from Doom 3. I saw a CG of a Pinky Demon that looked exactly the same as the ones in the game.
Halo will be better then. that's what i hate about video games changed into movies, they're just packing tons of action and special effects together, but they almost always forget the story, or if there's even one, it sucks.
But Doom has no storyline, its not that important, so thats why I said it will be more action packed because the game itself is all about guts and gore and killing everything that moves. So yeh, Halo might be better because it had a deeper storyline than Doom.
halo hasn't been made yet.. so lets hope the director uses the awsome story that halo has. If not it will be mortal kombat / street fighter the movie all over again.
halo, as a movie, have alot of potential, if they develop the story to make it bigger, and more complex.
as long as they don't make him take off his helmut and throw in a love story or make it multi cultural multisexual token black buddy film. Like hollywood does with every other film.
Yeah, the movie should leave off where Halo 2 ended, but I doubt it will. I am GUESSING it will be a movie based on the first Halo.
Yeah.. which wouldn't be a bad movie to see in the first place... i remember the story pushing me past the 4:30 in the morning mark during launch night.
I think there is a posibility that the Halo movie might turn out good. Microsoft and Bungie have been taking a hands-on aproach so far, they picked the writer themselves and helped (and supervised him!) him trough the process to ensure fidelity to the game. Alex Garland is the writer (He wrote the zombie flick "28 days later") and MS and Bungie also had their own conditions in place to ensure the movie wont get stuck in development limbo (Metroid movie, anyone?) just like Id Software did with the Doom movie. I think the fact that Weta will be helping with special effects only means it's going to look good. Peter Jackson being involved is a good thing, but I think right now all this movie needs is a good director. I really can't wait for Doom, tough. Good or bad, after so many years of waiting, I just need to see it.
man that doa move though, yeesh, horrible cast. Still if peter jackson is bakcing it it might be good. Now lets hope if the metroid movie is made it be well done, then again im guessing the way the game was and the story its best not to make a game movie out of it, since most of the time its just samus on her own, and theyd have to make up some stupied side kick that never exsisted in the games, mortal kombat is still considered the best game movie so far, but damn i was watvhing it the other day and they did some real poor editing on it.
Damn, This movie just screamed for the talents of a great director like Paul W.S. Anderson or Dr. Uwe Boll. Oh well. At least I have BloodRayne to look forward to.
