Is that any rare? How much is it worth? I cannot find consensus on the net about this title. From Digital Press:
It's not that rare. One of the Gamer's stores in Omaha has it behind the counter for about $160. The reissue is very well known, and is notable only for a minor difference with the FM sound. All the same, I don't have one yet. On the other hand, I can't be bothered to buy it. Maybe instead of rarity, you should poll for what the likely demand has been.
http://search4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp...BF%A1%BC+%C9%FC%B9%EF%C8%C7&auccat=2084005167 Its up all the time. (I actually got a copy from you adol a few years back on ebay!)
Nah, not all that rare as others have said. Manga Soko in Kita Kyushu has one for a few thousand yen. Yakumo
I guess demand is quite low nowadays. I remember seeing it sell for a bit more than 100 Euro some 7 years ago on Ebay. Now you should pay around 40 Euro for a nice copy (25-30 if you buy it in Japan).
Well 7 years ago was a COMPLETE different market. It sold for 100$+ back at the time. But that was before japanese sellers went on Ebay, and Ebay got flooded with japanese imports (i'm speaking in a nice way,for buyers).
Even 7 years ago I picked up Phantasy Star for less then $40, I'm sure one of the Game Gear versions is now more expensive (but still not by much).
Thread hijack. Game Gear! I just bought the last PS2 reissue of all the Phantasy Star games from the 16-bit era, because it was the only affordable way to own legitimate copies of the Mega CD text adventures. I completely forgot that there were Gaiden titles on the Game Gear. Crap, that's another reissue Sega can justify now.
The Phantasy Star Text Adventures were originally download games for the Game Library cartridge. The Games Cans on the Mega CD aren't that expensive and do contain other delights and are well worth the cash.
Wow I didn't know that there have been PS Text Adventures. How many RPG Elements are left? I watched a gameplay video of Gaiden, but it looked like there was not that much text how about the other game? A quick search didn't turn up anything useful, beside that there is a translation.
Thanks, GP. Man, Sega sure loves us. If only they knew how to make money and run online services, everything would be perfect. :/
