I have installed it onto my brothers laptop - did the update. It seems like I need an account? As on 1 of the options on the game menu it asks for an ID - however I click it to enter and no matter what I type nothing appears in the box -_- I think GaijinPunch will know what I mean?
You need to: 1: Follow the link in my sig 2: Go to the forum. 3: Go to the Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst thread 4: Follow those instructions EDIT: Ah, just go here http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~japangaming/forum/viewtopic.php?t=249 Oops... just reread.. CD-key... hmmm. I might need to dig around. You know there's a free download, right?
No joy! I only have a crappy connection hence the download isnt an option. Besides, I would prefer something tangible anyway! The problem on your guide now is the link to get me that ID account - it demands that I useda japanese enabled browser - the strange thing is I hack every single language pack installed and gave them extended support to all programs etc and other sites work fine.
Hmmm.... are you using Internet Explorer? Can you read the Japanese? Try this is you're using Windows XP, b/c you'll have to do it when you play teh game anyway. -Enable the Japanese IME -Set the default to Japanese / Direct INput Then try to get the ID again. Within PSO:BB, it will only take input if you're in Japanese mode. From there, you can switch between Hiragana, Romaji, etc. LMK how it goes.
I use Internet Explorer aswell as Mozilla Firefox - every other japanese site on the planet seems to work , except for that psobb ID signup page! Grr! I know how to use IME I tried that but when the program starts it auto switches back to engllish.
Okay, you're doing something wrong then. I either did this one: -English WinXP w/ JP IME -Japanese Linux-enabled Mozilla I can't remember. Well, I can always try to make you an account if you're up for it. I don't know if I can help you w/ that CD-key thing though... I've not heard a thing about it. UPDATE: I just tried to go to that page. Firefox was no good, but IE worked. Here's a 1600x1200 snapshot of my desktop when I logged in. Notice I've got my language for non-Unicode programs set to Japanese, and my IME in JP mode. I think these are key.
