Phat sidecar on a Slim?

Does anyone know if this would be possible? I know the part for the HDD wouldn't hook up but could I hook up the parts for DVD Emu?

So there would be no way? Wouldn't it work if I routed the dvd drive through it? I mean I'm not trying to run the hard drive on just hook the DVD emu part up. I may just try and see what kind of results I get. I don't think it would hurt anything would it?

 

it should work.. just power the sidecar externaly from 5v and you should be fine

 

How do you recommend on pulling the extra power?

 

Or you can solder directly.

Hey on the bottom right of that pic near where the fan plugs in is a already 4 pin header could I just plug the power into the 2 for gnd and the 5v supply?

 

use your trusty multimeter and double check then try it
