I've gone for an Audi A4 Avant, it's the 2.0 TDI S Line 170. I really REALLY wanted an BMW 850csi (1995) but because I have to use it for work as much as personal use I couldn't justify the fuel consumption. I didn't think I would be this excited but it's been 3 weeks now since I sold my A3 and it's amazing how little you can get done without a car. I can't collect it until 4PM today but I will post some pictures once I have. (Thanks for asking too, it wasn't what I was angling for in the slightest  )
I fancied an 850csi too, strangely they are still cool even to this day though I'm guessing most pople won't know or care what it is. I wouldn't have gone with an A4 myself... before I lost my licence this year a Toyota IQ was actually quite temping but for a few issues. I've ridden motorbikes with bigger engines than that car, I'm used to rofl fast acceleration and easy overtaking and I've even owned 'bikes which pwn its MPG too... but for a car its not so bad (if you ignore the comedy price) Less is more these days and the S-Line does look a little nicer but not much better for the price hike. I hope you've got quattro though to get you through the shit winters we have been having
The problem with buying the Quattro was the same as when i was going for the 850csi; the difference in MPG just killed it (albeit not by the same margain as the 850). If I didn't have to use it for work too then it would have opened a whole world of new avenue's. There is an amazing 850csi for sale on Pistonheads at the moment Legit and it's a 5.7 not a 5.6 (very thin on the ground) ... it's almost porn - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2599085.htm
Nice yeah it be good for good old kiff to have a car again. one thing will your new car fit a fully boxed ps2 tool in the back lol i could bairly fit it in my house lol
Haha, when I brought that box into work for the courier to collect I had to borrow one of the vans it was that huge! You can never be too careful with TOOL's though
850's are incredibly expensive when they break, but they're wicked cool. Audi does not make ONE car right now that's bad looking. (not counting SUV's, because all SUV's are bad looking)
I agree on the 850. BMW's used to be so super cool looking. When Chris Bangle arrived, he murdered BMW. Even now, that he left the company, BMW still look weird. Congrats on the new car. Audi's are a bit expensive around here, but i imagine they cheaper to run on England.
Yeah, the 8 series can be cheap to get, but I bet if it were to blow up you'd be out a whole truckload of money. Or an Audi-full!
I totally forgot I started this thread; I must have been super excited at the time! I will update with some pictures at the weekend when I have her all cleaned up and looking lovely!
